There’s mounting suspicion that some individual or group in China is behind the recent cyber attack on Lockheed Martin—the world's largest aerospace company and the Pentagon's number one arms and IT supplier.
Lockheed describes the hacking as a "significant and tenacious attack." The company detected the attack “almost immediately” and took immediate action to protect its systems. The company says no data has been compromised.
Lockheed is currently cooperating with the U.S. Defense Department to investigate the extent of the attack.
Lockheed makes F-16, F-22, and F-35 fighter jets, as well as warships, missiles, and other weaponry systems.
Just last week Google’s Gmail accounts of senior U.S. officials, Chinese activists, and journalists were also hacked. Google says it has reason to believe the attack originated from China.
The Chinese regime dismisses involvement in these cyber hacking activities.
