North Carolina: Professionals See Shen Yun in Raleigh

A variety of professionals came to see Shen Yun Performing Arts in Raleigh, North Carolina. After the show one audience member, Mr. Buck, the former president of a local company, said it was „unbelievable.“

[Mr. Buck, Retired Company President]:
„It’s one of the best shows I have seen in my life and I have seen a lot of them, both here Europe and in South America. And that was unbelievable.“

[Ms. Matlack, Computer Company Pension Manager]:
„I was very impressed. Both with the story, that they shared which was wonderful, and the dancing. I was just telling my husband, that you hear about women that glide. Those women really do glide. I thought it was phenomenal. And the alto just had an unbelievable voice. I have never heard a woman who had a control and a voice like that. Very very nice.“

[Mr. Peterson, Regional School Supervisor]:
„I thought it was a fantastic performance. I thoroughly enjoyed it. There’s just a certain beauty to the show, both in terms of the costuming and the performers. And also it’s a very important message that the program conveys, in terms of the spirituality part of this.“

Raleigh Mayor Charles Meeker emphasized a different aspect.

[Charles Meeker, Raleigh Mayor]:
„It’s really a very colorful and fun show. And of all the year’s this atrium has been open it’s one of the most colorful shows I have seen here.“

Others mentioned the classical Chinese dance and their new appreciation for Chinese society.

[Ms. Smith, Financial Consultant]:
„I thought it was wonderful and the dancing was beautiful, the female dancers. It was amazing. It was.“

[Mr. Montalian, U.S. Military Officer]:
„I thought it was an excellent show. I thought it did a very good job going throughout the spectrums of Chinese society from the past till now. And I thought it did a pretty good job of touching on modern day issues that are prevalent in China today.“

[Ms. Konidaris, Banker]:
„Well actually that was breathtaking. The dry ice on the stage the smoke coming up, I thought it was amazing. The dancers are very fluid.“

For one couple, this was their third year in a row.

[Mr. Mappes, Engineer]:
„I love it. It’s my third one. And they never disappoint. Every year is very very nice.“

[Ms. Mappes, Chinese Teacher]: (Chinese, female)
„We came to see it last year, we have seen the show three years in a row. Each year it is different, and this time it’s all new again. My husband is very excited to see the show each time, so we have come again. Every time I invite my friends to come.“

[Mr. Russell, University Staff Member]:
„So it was very nice, really enjoyed it.“
